The world's largest social networks will soon be nostalgic. Facebook has quietly launched a new feature that displays the status updates that you post just one or two years ago.
This feature appears in the form of a small box in the upper right column of ads, both titled "On This Day in 2010" or We usually find that the "On This Day" box appears while "On This Day in 2009." You can also click "Show More" button to see the status update is more than just one or two years ago, if you posted some updates on the status of those days. This feature seems only to go back to 2009. That makes sense - just do not have a lot of Facebook users in 2008 or 2007.
Based on public search Facebook and Twitter status updates, features start rolling in a limited test on 11 August. More and more users begin to see within the past twelve hours, though. This is not the first time Facebook has been trying to help find activities to use their past on Facebook. It also has features to coat the photos from your past.
I think the new facebook features making this not only just to do promotions, but rather to remind you at times where you just sign up facebook.
